Pictures from my sketchbook.

Some analytical drawings.

I started by drawing a long piece of chain in a pile. I used tonal in one section, stippling in another section and just left the last section as a line drawing.

 

Then I did a quick charcoal sketch of a large peice of a link I found in my garage. :)

Next, I did two paintings. One of a bike link and the other was of another type of chain I got.

Lastly, I did two pastel drawing, again one was of chainsand their movement and the next was the movement of bike chains.

I studied bicycle links so I thought why not make large scale ones and have them built the same as the originals so they can move freely. :)



Knitting :)

I didn't use any knitting skills in my semester one project so I thought I'd slip it in here :) It was hard and took me aaaaages but I finally finished my three little chain links :) tough is an understatement :/
